
EMCO Malaysia KL & Selangor 2021
Attention all residents of Klang Valley, this is about the latest update of enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in Malaysia. Since the current implementation of the first phase of the national recovery plan has not been effective, the number of confirmed cases on July 1 today has risen to 6,988! As the number of cases in Selangor is still in a critical stage, Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said such a move is needed given the rise in Covid-19 cases. EMCO will be implemented in 48 areas in Selangor and KL for total of two weeks. With the implementation of the EMCO, all roads in the areas affected will be closed and guarded by the police.

SOP of EMCO in the 48 Regions (Selangor & KL)
- All PKPD areas and roads will be closed and controlled by PDRM.
- Only one person per household is allowed to go out to buy necessities, within a radius of 10km.
- The vaccination programme will be enhanced and intensified in the affected areas.
- In addition, if vaccination appointment information is displayed on the MySejahtera app, website or SMS, COVID-19 vaccination is allowed across regions or states.
- Airports and ports are allowed to operate as usual, and public transportation activities and services (such as trains, commuters, buses, airports, taxis, ferries, e-hailing) can operate as usual, with 50% capacity.
- Taxi and e-hailing are limited to 2 people, including the driver.
- You are not allowed to go out after 8 pm, unless there is an emergency or with the permission of PDRM.
- Only important service areas are allowed to operate, operating hours from 8am-8pm.
- All the employees in are not allowed to leave the EMCO area and work from home is a must, except for those who are in essential services.
- In addition, it is allowed to purchase food through take-out, driving or delivery.
- Restaurants, hawkers, food trucks, grocery stores, and convenience stores are allowed to operate from 8am-8pm.
- Hospitals, clinics and medical laboratories can be open for up to 24 hours or according to permits.
- Allow operation for pharmacies, animal clinics, and pet food stores to open from 8am-8pm.
- The operating hours of the petrol station is from 6am-8pm (24 hours on the boulevard).
- The business hours of the wholesale market from 12am-6am.
- The business hours of the market is from 6am-2pm.
- Also, all sports, social, leisure, and cultural activities are prohibited.
